Inter clinched a dramatic 2-1 victory over Verona in a pulsating Serie A encounter at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi on Saturday.
The Nerazzurri took the lead in fortuitous fashion in the 20th minute when Adolfo Gaich inadvertently headed the ball into his own net.
Verona fought back and levelled matters through a stunning strike from Ivan Ilic in the 58th minute.
The match seemed destined to end in a draw, but Inter had other ideas. In the 94th minute, Joaquin Correa popped up with a clinical finish to snatch all three points for the visitors.
The win moves Inter up to second place in the Serie A standings, two points behind leaders Napoli.
